Survival of the fittest

Today was class 10th Board Science paper. I was waiting for my niece to come out. There were few more minutes so I stood near the school gate. The policeman sitting on a chair now stood up as the number of parents coming towards the gate started to increase. I took one corner and started to go through a flyer handed over by a boy.
A man pushed in to move forward, towards the gate. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt and a track suit as lower. He exchanged gestures with the police personnel and very soon the talks started where few more gentlemen joined in. After listening to the ideas exchanged I thought to take part in it but later felt to keep myself away and enjoy the thoughts exchanged.
The discussion was all about the education system. How hefty fee is charged by private schools, how inspite such a heavy fee, kids have to be admitted to tuition classes, after paying so much fee why do schools don’t give a guarantee that kids will become IAS, IPS, Doctors, Engineers, How government schools are very good compared to private ones and so on.
After hearing the entire discussion without interruption I really felt pity to the kids for whose parents after living so many years on the planet, failed to understand the system, a human system established to form a society and distinguish ourselves as human beings from the animals.
I am surely not discussing on the grievances discussed by them. I simply just want to point that, parents who have lived a so long life on this planet still fail to understand the basic fundamentals of the society.
I am not agreeing or disagreeing with the points in discussion. Being a parent one must teach a kid that man has formed a system and various sub systems. The system evolved and gradually changes with time. Changes do no happen or occur over a night but simply happen over a period of time and when a majority mass appeals. Anything to come into system flow needs a majority. Majority does not come over a night. As and when need arises people start thinking and moulding themselves and once a majority is formed then the system changes. Even in such circumstances many who were accustomed to the old system start resisting, but in a society, rules are framed by the majority and also change is a law of nature.
No individual is perfect, no system is perfect infact nothing is perfect in itself from one point of view. Rather then just relying on the schools and the system, we as a parent must inculcate in our kids that what important is, is to live a happier and peaceful life. Whatever is framed as a system is to ensure a balance in the society. Something may not be pleasing for you but on the other hand it may be pleasing for someone else, instead of just banging our head it’s wise to understand that what you disagree or dislike is agreed or liked by someone other and vice-versa.
One must understand that nothing is uniform. We must teach our kids that things change with time, place and human beings. We must see what is our liking and disliking, our limitations, need, desire and then opt for a service be it school or anything. If somebody is running a school in a mega city that too in a premium location, then we can’t expect him to just do social service, as the land costs, salaries and other expenses are very high and on the other hand a school in a ruler area will be less expensive resulting into lesser fee. We must understand that no school will guarantee us engineers or doctors, else if all will become doctors or engineers then who will be whose patient and who will construct whose house? Here again a crises will arise. So it’s wise to just teach our kids to be perfect in themselves so that when they start living their own life, whatever be the situation they can survive inspite of all odds. After all it’s the law of nature “Survival of the fittest”
